The value of the pharmacy market (in retail sales to patients/clients) in 2016 reached 31,7 billion PLN and grew in comparison to 2015 by 6,2%. Results for market segments are as follows: 9,9% OTC sales, 6,6% - non-reimbursed Rx drugs, 2,4% reimbursed Rx drugs.

Turnover of an average pharmacy (in the entire 2016) was 2,1m PLN, which was 3,6% higher compared to last year. Average price of a single unit grew 3,1% and amounted to 17,6 PLN. The number of pharmacies in the end of 2016 exceeded 14 900.
